LCD monitor or LCD TV? (full HD, for gaming/graphics/digiTV)?
Aaargh!
After reading pages of reviews, I am more confused than ever.
is input lag really worse on LCD TVs as opposed to big 24/26″ monitors???
I want a big monitor. For graphics and photo editing, regular PC use, and I want to buy an LCD TV for XBOX 360 (especially playing online), and digital TV. Either way, i will be going full HD.
But i have read many places that LCD TV’s have a huge input lag, which makes fast gaming difficult=not fun. Which puts me off the idea of buying an LCD TV.
So if i buy a 24/26” monitor for my PC, which can double as a screen for my XBOX360, will i be gaining any noticeable benefits from lower input lag?
Another conflict is that i want the TV/monitor to be colour-accurate (for photo editing etc) which i read gives a slower response time- which is the opposite of what i want for gaming.
Does anybody have any suggestions for me besides RTFM? Is there one screen/TV that can perform all these tasks sufficiently?

Go for one of the new Panasonic LCD’s.
They suit your needs perfectly due to their IPS alpha panels. They also have input lag which is comparable to a monitor and excellent colour reproduction.
Black depth isn’t as great as on the S-PVA equipped Samsung/ Sony’s, but it’s not that bad either.
